I think it may have been something on their end but they have it fixed now. I downloaded it and I am now able to get into the application without any problems. Update: I checked the download link today (5/9) and I saw a new version of the lockdown available. Follow steps 1-4 again and make sure this account has no background internet programs. Log in to the new test user account with the proper user and network settings to start LockDown Browser. Run the exe file after downloading, and follow the prompts to. If it still does not work, follow these additional steps: Create another user account with administrator privileges to serve as your test account. Find and run the installation file: The Windows installer should be named similar to LockDownBrowser-X-X-XX.exe, where X represents numbers in the LockDownBrowser release. Which I did (10+ times, even going as far as update my laptop and delete other apps hoping it would work). I even submitted a ticket with Respondus Support asking for assistance but they just told me to try reinstalling it again. I deleted the application and reinstalled (x2) but I still get the same message. Respondus LockDown Browser is a secure browser tool that prevents students from accessing external resources during proctored assessments administered in testing centers and computer labs (it is installed on Windows computers in the STCs). When I try to launch the Respondus Lockdown Browser on my personal laptop (Macbook) I receive a corrupt application error message that states, "The LockDown Browser application appears to be corrupted.
